User data is stored in our database on our servers. Currently, only the WapuPay sys admins have access to it. But, ID data may be sent to a 3rd party service to validate your identity and local regulators may request access to ensure compliance with regulations.
Yes, you can invite others to use the app. However, please note that in this first phase only a limited number of accounts can be activated. We are giving priority to those persons that don’t have any other option to make local transactions in Argentina.
In the burger menu in the app, you will find an Invitations option. There you will need to provide the email or phone of the person you want to invite.
You can invite as many people as you want, but only a limited number of accounts can be activated each month. On this phase we are activating 10 accounts per month.
To make a payment, open the app, scan the merchant’s QR code, verify that your wallet has enough USDT funds, and confirm the payment. The cryptocurrency amount plus the commission percentage will be deducted from your wallet, and the merchant will receive ARS pesos to their account.
You can make fiat transfers using Alias or CBU, which is the ID of the bank accounts in Argentina.
